Scrapbooks!

We have started working on personal scrapbooks where we will keep all our memories of 4th class. So far we have included our hopes for the school year, some of our SESE project work, Halloween art and stories and we have written all about the ‘Drive for Five’, ‘three in a row’ and Sam Maguire’s visit. It will be interesting to look back on what we were like when we.

Snap, Crackle and Pop!

We spent the morning making rice krispie buns! We finally filled our reward jar with cotton wool which means we got a treat! We used the microwave to melt the chocolate and added marshmallows, mini eggs and sprinkles to our rice krispie buns. We enjoyed them while having a movie afternoon as part of our reward day 🙂

Write A Book 2019!

We spent a lot of time working on our “Write a Book” entries this year. We planned, drafted, edited, and published our creations. She was so impressed to hear about our “Write-.

Busy at the Bog!

Last month we visited the Bog of Allen! We had learned all about bogs in Geography and we were looking forward to seeing and learning more about them in real life! We went pond dipping for mini- beasts, and we identified them using a book which showed their pictures and characteristics! We went “frog- catching” and found some baby frogs or “froglets“. We learned that they like wet, green environments,.

Our May Altar

May is the month of Our Lady. In honour of Mary our Mother, we talked about her role in our lives and the life of her son Jesus. In groups we wrote and decorated gorgeous prayers to Mary and displayed them in Our Sacred Space. We picked some daisies while we were on a mindful walk enjoying the beautiful sunshine and displayed them in her honour.
